Hi Trevor,

I would also like to know the answer to this query however the responses are marked Private. I find this unusual for a paid support forum. If I have the same question am I expected to post it again?

Hi Aivan

It is better to make your own thread, with reference to this one. Posts are generally private if the poster is passing information of no relevance to other users or passing private logins or contact details, or site details that are private. It is the nature of this forum that it is used by developers, who would not want to make public details of their clients sites.

My experience is that, whilst a description of a problem often looks like one you might be experiencing, when examined is a different issue.

Note that, the initial post is always public, but follow up posts can be made private.

Hi Trevor, with this I notice that even if I switch themes to twenty twenty it’s the same thing. Tick a checkbox and I get results, choose something from the dropdown and the number of results doesn’t change. Refresh the page and I get the true number of results. I’m convinced it’s a plugin config problem but I can’t figure out what.

It turns out there were two errors in the search.php template, and the div with the Ajax container was missing. I will close this thread for now.
