The issue is that the solution you have used creates ‘bad’ page code, and we would prefer to find a solution that does not do this.
Assuming that select2 is saved in settings, I can only assume that there is a cache somewhere holding the old version of the page (local computer/browser/local ISP/hosting server/Wordpress)?
