The website in question is: http://www.willowresourcing.co.uk/
Wordpress: 4.3.1 | Search & Filter Pro Plugin: 2.0.2
I have a few questions / issues:
1 > When we add new ‘vacancies’ (Custom Post Types) the positions appear under the ‘Vacancies’ page and the Taxonomies appear in the Search & Filter drop downs but the if you select a drop down for example (Accountancy) and some posts will be missing, even though they appear in the ‘Vacancies’ page. I have found a solution to this by clearing the cache in the plugin’s options.
Is this the only solutions? Is there a way to schedule the cache to run every so ofter? Is there a way to even disable to cache? I never had to deal with the cache in the past – not sure if it is related to the latest WordPress version or the latest plugin version.
2 > If you perform a search on my site by pulling the Job Type and selecting ‘Permanent’ you will see 10 results whereas there should be over 30 results. The navigation seems to have disappeared – it was working fine. If you go to the vacancies page the navigation is there – is this a known issue?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Anonymous(Private) November 3, 2015 at 2:16 pm #28840Apologies, the navigation issue was my bad so point 2 is now resolved, however question 1 still stands and am hopeful of finding a solution as I cant expect my client to clear the cache after every time jobs are added to the website by all of my staff. Thanks

S&F should detect when new posts are added and add them to the cache automatically.
How are your new posts being created?
Thakns
Anonymous(Private) November 6, 2015 at 10:38 am #29039Hi
Thanks for getting back to me.
They are added via a feed so this may be the issue.
The jobs are created on an external website and we have coded them to be feed in to the ‘Vacancies’ custom post type and all of the relevant taxonomies are filled in as if the posts were filled in manually.
Ross Moderator(Private) November 6, 2015 at 11:34 am #29050I see,
What function is being used to add the posts?
Eg, wp_insert_post?
If its some other function, let me know and I’ll try to add in a hook to this, so you don’t need to add anything to your code.
Thanks
Ross Moderator(Private) November 9, 2015 at 7:57 pm #29291Hi Daniel
I’ve just pushed an update to the plugin which I htink will also have a fix for your issue.
Can you update to 2.0.3?
Thanks
Ross Moderator(Private) November 9, 2015 at 8:25 pm #29308Hey Daniel
If upgrading from 1.x to 2.x, then you might need to recreate your search forms.
If you are already on v2, then don’t worry about any of that, you shouldn’t need to update anything else or recreate your forms.
🙂
Thanks
