Hello, I’ve recently installed Newspaper theme (by WPion) and Search & Filter Pro and I would like to integrate the plugin and the theme. I have two main concerns:
1. The searching method, my blog uses /?s= and the plugin a different phrase.
2. The style of the results pageI hope you can help me.
Thanks!
Trevor(Private) March 5, 2019 at 7:19 pm #204014The first thing would be to make sure you are using a child theme of that theme. You can do this by using the Orbisius Child theme creator plugin. It is free, simple to use (just accept the default options) and you can remove it when done.
Then you need to find the template PHP file in you theme that holds the code for the search form, usually called searchform.php or similar. You copy that file to the child theme folder and then edit it. This thread talked another user through the same process (some posts are private, those and some other posts are not relevant to this process):

Then it is a matter of identifying a page in your theme that looks the way you want, and then deciding the best display results method to use to achieve the look of the results that you want.
