    Hi,
    I want to test updates on a staging site on the same server, i.e. domain.tld/stagingsiteslug
    Isn’t there a way to activate the license also for a staging site?

    There is not, sorry. But, the plugin works fine without activating the licence, and you can (in WordPress 5.5+) updated manually by downloading the new version from Your Account and using the WordPress Plugins -> Add New and upload that file method.

    It is something we are looking at, but, even if we do implement it, it would likely to work only if the domain were to match a certain pattern. Anyway, thanks for getting back to me, I will close this thread for now.
