Hi Ross!

I am having difficulties to make plugin work they way I need. Basically, I am trying to create a search form for finding post types throughout the site, but without necessarily using a keyword search option. I just want to be able to have custom fields like categories, tags, taxonomies and to have a search field to be optional. For example, if user selects a category field, a tag field and a taxonomy field, but not necessarily entering a keyword, the results will still display being pulled from categories, tags and taxonomies. So, let’s say a visitor selects a “musical” category, tagged “classic” and not entering a keyword as he might not have one in mind, the results will still be displayed.
So my main question is – is it possible to configure it that way? Making a search field to be optional? So if user doesn’t enter keyword it will work and vice versa.

I really hope you can help me figure this one out. As it is the one and only vital function that needs to be working properly on the site I am building for a client.

Hey Timur

I’m a little confused, the plugin does that automatically – if you do not enter a search term, it will still search on all your other settings 🙂

Please check the latest update in case you were experiencing any bugs.

I am now confused as well. Since I first installed plugin and was trying to search by fields other than search field it was always displaying just a blank result page saying at the top “Search results for “…” Not that it was saying “Nothing was found”, it was just a blank page.
Maybe I am missing something here?

And also, what latest update are you referring to?

I pushed an update last night – v 1.2.4 – check your dashboard and go to plugins and update if you are not using the latest version 🙂
