    I am using Download Monitor by Never5 to manage my downloads. When I click on any download links, PDF files are downloaded as expected. However, when with Search and Filter plugin:

    1) the content of PDF files are not indexed.
    2) The links shown in the Search and Filter results page are incorrect resulting in a 404 error message.

    As I am looking at the search form, I see that in the Search in the following post types: section, Posts appears twice. The attachments (pdfs) are not posts as such, but are in fact media attachments, and yet Media is not checked?

    I have had a word or two with Ross, and he says that it is not possible to index the content of pdf’s. Search engines can only index what is in the WP database
