I have a site running the old version of search & filter Pro (Version 2.3.3), which works amazingly. Building a new site and trying to replicate the functionality in the latest version of the plugin (Version 1.2.11) and while I love the streamlined implementation, I am struggling to achieve the functionality that made it so useful in the previous iteration.
Features I am looking to achieve that were available in the old version are:
– Auto-submit form on value change
– Enable auto-count/Show display count for each taxonomy selectable term
– Auto-hide empty terms
– Results Page maintains the original search options and has the search form on the results page to further filter resultsYou can see the old version options here:
and functioning here:

It would appear that a lot of the functionality was lost with the overhaul of the plugin. The MAIN problem is that once I choose a filtering option and click submit, it redirects to a new page where the search & filter shortcode is not displayed. In the old version, you set up a page for the results to generate on and could copy the shortcode for the filters onto that results page. There was a lot more set-up but it was a much stronger plugin. I purchased the Pro version of the old plugin based on a number of features that appear no longer available. Is there any way to get this functionality back or added in? I would prefer to use the old version but I know unsupported plugins eventually cause problems and security issues which is a no-go for E-commerce sites. Any help or guidance is appreciated! Even if that is recommending a stronger plugin. They are the same plugin as
they are both made by Designs & Code. -
