I don’t understand this plugin. I have made the search & filter form, it’s looking for posts correctly. I also made a Post Grid form to make the results look not so ugly. What shortcodes should I use? The tutorial is incomprehensible. I have this:
    [searchandfilter id=”7123″]
    [searchandfilter id=”7123″ action=”filter_next_query”]
    [post_grid id=”8782″]

It counts my tags correctly, but doesn’t filter the results.

Okay, I did some further testing. I removed the post_grid-plugin and try to filter Avada theme’s results with this. I have a widget that has the tag options, and then filter the results using custom display results. I use this: [searchandfilter id=”7123″ action=”filter_next_query”] and then just Avada’s blog results. It filters the tags I’ve configured (showing all pictures which have the tags), but if I click some tags in the widget, it doesn’t affect the results.

It works if I change the custom display results to shortcode, but I’d really need this to use Avada’s styles. Is there something I’m missing?

I’m not using the post grid anymore as it seemed not to work. The link https://www.poppamies.fi/testiresepti-2/ shows results with Avada theme’s own blog listing, using the filter_next_quary. And it does filter something because it’s showing only the posts with the tags I’ve listed in the search and filter form. The checkboxes just don’t do anything, I’ve tried to implement them through widget and through shortcode.

I’d love to give you the admins, but unfortunately our company doesn’t allow that… I know it’s difficult to help without them…

Ok, its going to be very difficult to debug without logins, so next step is, disable Ajax (in your search form settings).

This should reveal a few more things to me.

Let me know when you’ve done that and I can look again.

    Thanks

what rights role would you need for worpress to look it through? I can try to get our webmaster to make some temp user.

It would be admin, or the capability specifically – manage_plugins – our S&F menu item will only show to users with this privilege.

I would also need to be able to edit the pages you have.

    Thanks
