Greetings:
I have a simple pod (Courses) (advanced Content Type), with several fields; name, author, units, etc ..
how can I have a search box for course names …
Pods are one of the post types under the General tab, but can’t manage to make the search work ..
any documentation, etc .. Thank YouTrevor(Private) May 24, 2017 at 8:45 am #110859Are you using the Pods plugin?
Whilst we do support the basic content types made by PODS (CPTs and basic fields), we do not support the extended and relational fields created by PODS. It is possible we will look at this after we release V3 of our plugin (this will be the next major release that we do).
Trevor(Private) May 25, 2017 at 11:55 am #111188The course name is a custom field, and you want to search using the text search box? The default state of S&F (which reflects what WordPress does) is to search only in The Post Title and Post Content. Not any Taxonomy or Custom Fields.
If you want to use Relevanssi plugin’s search engine and cache instead of the standard WordPress textual search engine, then Relevanssi has settings that allow this. You have to enable searching of the specific taxonomy(ies) and/or the custom field(s) in Relevanssi’s settings and then build the Relevanssi cache. You have to tell S&F to use Relevanssi in the S&F form’s advanced settings.
You could also use the WP Extended Search plugin to do much the same, but no special support is needed in S&F for this plugin, AFAIK.

I installed the Relevanssi plugin, and I can’t make the index see the course names ..
probably not doing all the setting right but I don’t have documentations for pods in the Relevanssi plugin.
The pod (courses) is advanced Content Type and the field is Name (plain Text) ID 2270.
seem like a simple search but not sure how to proceed …
Thank You -
