    Yes.

In the General settings tab make sure Auto Count is on (checked). By default it is not.

And then, in the form element, look for the Hide Empty Results setting and make sure that is on also. By default it is not.

    Dear Trevor,

    Please check comments below.

    >>> In the General settings tab make sure Auto Count is on (checked). By default it is not.

I had already enabled this, does not help.

    >>> And then, in the form element, look for the Hide Empty Results setting and make sure that is on also. By default it is not.

I had already enabled this, does not help.

Feel free to check settings at
    http://www.gigiki.com/delete/set1.jpg
    and
    http://www.gigiki.com/delete/set2.jpg

To be honest with you, I am not sure whether those 2 settings would have the effect of what I want to achieve.

As mentioned before, is it feasible to update the authors drop down list based on the results shown?
In other words, if you check http://demo.designsandcode.com/sfpro-movie-reviews/search/, you have let’s say 60 movies and 5 authors.
If you select one specific genre e.g. Sci-Fi which has only 3 movies, is it feasible NOT to show the same 5 authors BUT only the authors of those 3 movies of Sci-Fi genre?
If yes, how can be done (to show only authors of the results instead of all the authors)?

If it is feasible, can you please enable what I mention at http://demo.designsandcode.com/sfpro-movie-reviews/search/?

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards
    Stavros

Are you using Ajax to submit? If so, you will also need Update the Search from on user interaction checked.

Otherwise, I will need to see this in action to figure what is wrong.

    Dear Trevor,

No, I am not using Ajax.

I will create a new staging URL and send you login credentials within a few minutes.

    Regards,
    Stavros

    Dear Trevor,

This page is calling a specific template file which shows only the posts of the specific category.

To keep it simple, as I have mentioned before, can you please enable what I mention at http://demo.designsandcode.com/sfpro-movie-reviews/search/?

As mentioned before, is it feasible to update the authors drop down list based on the results shown?

As long as this is feasible at http://demo.designsandcode.com/sfpro-movie-reviews/search/ (so we are in the same page) then we can recheck the staging URL.

Look forward to hearing from you.

    Thanks in advance.

Hi Justin, I cannot get it working. Something is stopping it, and I think it is within the theme. It seems to be overriding the search terms. We may need to video conference and screen share to see if you and I can find a solution.
