Sorry if this is an obvious one, I have tried doing a search by shortcode but its not working. How do you make the search results appear below the form. http://grid.willp.co.uk/advanced-search/ Thanks in advance

You are using the ‘As an Archive’ method.

If I search for Harold, it goes to the results page, but there is no S&F search form on that page.

Your site appears to be using The 7 theme and so you should have the WP Bakery Page Builder bundled with that. If you have installed it (I think the latest version is 6.1?), then maybe follow the instructions here:

Hi Trevor, the search does not work though. What I expected was to open that page to a blank page apart from the search form. When I searched using the form the results would appear below the form. The search form is not currently connected to whats displayed below and does not actually give any results at the moment. Thanks for your continued assistance here.

Thanks Trevor. Finally is there anyway to display no results on first load of that page? and is there a “no available results” error I can put in if there are no results available?

Yes, the shortcode method would do as you want, but the layout and appearance of the results are basic. You would most likely want to edit the exemplar results.php template file to meet your needs.

It is described here (there is only one setting change that you need to make to the form):
