Hello, I’m working on Vestige museum theme that has a search field on the menu with good graphic. I would like to use the toggle search field of the theme as first search that end up to a search page where I have placed as sidebar the S&F PRO with other options. The problem is that the S&F pro ignore the text of the first search. Is it possible to integrate the two searches? The variable of the theme search is the $s. Thank you for your advise.
Trevor(Private) January 2, 2019 at 10:58 am #197780If you have a theme search on the header, for example, and another search (from our plugin) on the same page), it is not possible to integrate them in a single search, sorry. V3 of our plugin, due in the next few months, should offer you an option to achieve something like this.
However, if you want to allow the user to do a search from that header search, and for the results page to use that and for our for on that results page to be in control, that might be possible, if that search form also has a search box, and on the results page you can disable the header search.
I might need to see what you have (a live URL) to get a better feel for what you want to do.
Trevor(Private) January 2, 2019 at 11:44 am #197793OK. The first step is to make sure you are using a child theme of your theme. Are you doing this? If not, use this free plugin to create a child theme and activate that child theme:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/orbisius-child-theme-creator/
You can remove that plugin after use.
