Using the free version of Search & Filter, I’ve been able to set up certain forms to filter only, e.g. show me all posts that are in Category A that have Tag B. In these cases, clicking submit directs me to the proper taxonomy archive plus some other taxonomy parameters. (http://www.blusterydaydesign.com/area/portfolio/?tag=album-art&client=music or such)
But with Pro, I can’t figure out how to filter without a search term. If I set up my form without a Search box in it, it says “No Results Found” in the results shortcode area when I submit, even if the auto-count says clearly there are 2 posts or 4 posts or whatever in a particular category. And if I have the results show in an archive, it still doesn’t show anything. Am I missing something? Do you always have to include a search box? It seems odd that the Pro version would not be able to do something the free version can.
Thanks!

You shouldn’t have to include a search term. Are you saying if you add a search box to the search form in Pro, that it starts working?
If this is true, try enabling
is search
under theadvanced
tab.(Important: if this does not fix things, be sure to disable this setting)
Just to note, S&F Pro is not so much about browsing taxonomy archives (like the free version) but about creating advanced search results pages – which can do a lot more than in the free plugin, but doesn’t quite operate in the same way – that being said, if free works, we should be able to get pro up and running.
Thanks
