i found search form can add a template settings box on the right in the demo video, but when i install the Plugin, i can’t see it? how can i use a custom template for results?

Are you able to make a screenshot showing what you have seen that you want to do? Upload to a file sharing site and give me a link to it so that I can view it? Please annotate the image if that will help me/you.

Ah, you are using Salient. They allow you to download a plugin called Page Builder (from WPBakery) as part of their package (it used to be called Visual Composer). If you install that and go to edit a page, there will be a blue button that allows you to use it. See if it has a Post grid element (click the button to add an element), as shown in this thread:

In Visual Composer, i can see those elements, , i add a portfolio element, then i can’t see Data Source have ‘Search & Filter’, i have add search-filter-pro-vc-beta-2 ..

It would appear that the theme author has significantly modified the Page Builder and removed the Post grid element. That being the case, the only method available to you would be to use the shortcode method:

As I said, your theme author has heavily modified their copy of Page Builder, so for now, our addon plugin will not work with that.
