    I don’t want to use Ajax.

    I uncheck the checkbox below.
    Setting & Defaults > Display results > Ajax □

    But when I change pulldown, the page’s still changing using Ajax.
    Any other setting?

    Either that is some cached content you have, or something very odd. Can you first make sure your browser cache is cleared? (in Chrome, go to the page, and refresh pressing ctrl + F5)

    Otherwise, I need to see this somehow?
