    Hi guys,

I’ve had a request from our SEO team to ‘tidy up’ the search URL strings used by the Search & Filter plugin.

    Currently we have http://www.xxxx.com/types/?_sft_category=all

    But ideally we’d have http://www.xxxx.com/types/all

Is there anyway this can be achieved without tampering with htaccess?

    Thanks

    Hey Adam

Unfortunately its not possible, even with htaccess – because the URL is built in JavaScript (for fast searching).

I’ve thinking for a long time on how to improve this, but if you look around the internet, complex searches never have pretty URLs!

    ie – http://www.asos.com/Fashion-Online-30/Cat/pgecategory.aspx?cid=16778&ctaref=Shop|jeansandtrousers#state=Rf900%3D2213%2C1612&parentID=Rf900&pge=0&pgeSize=36&sort=-1

    Thanks

    Hey Gerrit

Thanks for the links & info – yeah if I could get something implemented as per the link you sent that would be awesome.

Its definitely something I’d like to improve some point 🙂

    Thanks
