Hide items until filter is checked

The black and white images are all assigned to the “Include Unfinished” filter (at the bottom of the “FILTER” sidebar), but also other relevant filters such as gender/ethnicity/age/etc. However, my client would like to hide the black and white images by default, and only show them when the “Include Unfinished” filter is checked, while also adhering to the other tags assigned to the image.

For example, the 4th image in the 1st row (ID: 670) would stay hidden until a user checked the “Female” AND “Include Unfinished” filter. The image would not display only if the “Female” filter was checked.

Please let me know if this is possible within the current configuration options of if custom PHP is required. If custom PHP is required, I do have skill in PHP if you can guide me on an approach on how to accomplish this functionality.

You would need to do some custom coding. There are many examples in this forum. Such as this:
