It’s possible. It could be to do with the way CAP stores data, and yet Search and Filter is able to retrieve the count accurately before “Hide Empty” is applied.

That thread was more to do with changing the labels of the returned options, rather than actually filtering the results.

I had a discussion with Ross about this, and his feeling was this was an issue with the way the co-author plugin does things.
