I have my search form set up to display with the Search and Filter widget, and it is meant to appear only on the page I have designated as the results page. Works great. Recently I installed WPML and am in the process of translating the site into Mandarin. The same search form and the same results need to show on the Mandarin version of the results page. I am not able to get the search form widget to show correctly.
I want S&F’s widget to appear only on Results-English and Results-Mandarin, and on no other pages on the site. I am using Divi with the sidebar module to display all widgets sitewide. I’m also using another plugin called Display Widgets that makes it easy to tell widgets to appear only on certain pages. Display Widgets seems to want me to select both a page name and a language. When I select only a page name, the Search and Filter search form does not display anywhere. When I select the page name and the language, the search form widget unfortunately shows up on all pages in that language. I am sure this is a Display Widgets issue and not a Search and Filter issue, but my real question is this: What is the best way to get the Search and Filter form to show only on the results page in English and Mandarin while still using the sidebar module in Divi?
Anonymous(Private) April 11, 2017 at 11:37 pm #102672I resolved this when I read that the Display Widgets plugin had been deprecated after WordPress 4.7 by its designer, and has been replaced with a much-improved version called Display Widgets SEO Plus. This took care of my problem. You can mark this as resolved, thanks.
