General Search field with Relevanssi not giving best results

Hi Search & Filter Pro Support,

We’re using Search & Filter on https://poppenoog.nl/huurboten and we have a search field just under the reset button.

I’ve installed and configured relevanssi, enabled it in the form on Search & Filter Pro and made sure both caches are rebuild but somehow we don’t get any results searching on the term BjornAntonissen.nl (which is a relation for this page https://poppenoog.nl/huurboot/odysseus/) but we do get results when searching on the term mrs linsey.

If we, for example, search for the term Amsterdam we’ll get https://poppenoog.nl/huurboot/mrs-linsey-2/ but there’s only a nearby supermarket which has the location Amsterdam. If we search for kortgene which is the location for the Mrs Linsey, we don’t get any results.

Is there a way for us to finetune the search behaviour and results?

Only within Relevanssi, so I am not sure what is going on. Try to make a generic page with the normal WordPress search on (with Relevanssi active) and see if the same thing is happening without Search & Filter.

Hi Trevor,

Thanks for your reply. I’ve publiced a page named ‘test’ (https://poppenoog.nl/test) and placed a search field on it.

Unfortunately this search field doesn’t give any results at all.
