Forms Disappearing

Hi there,

Bought the Pro version. Great product in the whole, thanks.

I create a form, I have dropped it into a widget and all seems to be working, I perform a search and maybe try to go back to the form within the Search and Filter Plugin and the form has disappeared for me to make edits to?

(e.g. the edit I was trying to make was to specify the slug so that I can have a custom sidebar for the results page and not loose the opportunity to search again)

Where do my forms go?

It didn’t disappear providing I have the results short code displayed on the same page.

. . . Currently seems to be staying put. Strange huh?

I can’t delete the above post. Forms still disappear in the Welcome Page, Search and Filter. So I can’t edit them.

Hey Matthew,

The results shortcode must appear on the same page as the search form itself, so that when you use the search form, it knows where to load the results…

Just so you know (and sorry the admin section should be clearer) but when using a shortcode to display the results some settings are not being applied – one of them is the slug.

This is because, when you use the shortcode, it uses the slug of the current page, where the shortcode is displayed…

So if you create a regular page called – my search results – with a slug of “my-search-page”, then your search and results will automatically be performed at this URL (yoursite.com/my-search-page)

Is this what you mean?

Just getting back to it now,

Have you tried a widget manager or sidebar manager plugin? This will allow you to only show specific widgets on specific pages, which might help with your scenario above?

Hi Ross,

Sorry about the delay in getting back to you. Thank you for your response.

The limited response I was getting have stopped now. I am hoping this is fixed in the upgrade I see, is there a download link? If I upload directly via FTP will this enable me to keep the current forms in place.

I appreciate you have a lot going on at the moment, if I can try upgrading and see if that eliminates that route before detailing my further issues.
