First time setup on Genesis. Cannot see results.

Ross,
Just bought the plugin today after researching and rejecting alternatives. I can create Search Form, and have read the documentation twice. But I’m not seeing results from that form in sidebar widget on this page:
http://ncej.org/filter-publications/

I want the Search Form widget in the sidebar to update the content displayed on the page.
I’m using Genesis framework. Does that require any special setup?
Slug is: search-filter-results
Template is: search.php

I’m missing something obvious, but have failed for two hours to understand what. Am willing to make a donation for your help configuring. Thank you. I’m on New York Time.
