Filtering Photos by Tag in ACF Gallery

Is it possible to filter photos by Tags on a Custom Post Type single page? I would like to be able to do this, and to have the Search and Filter form be able to use different tags every time I create a new post with a CPT.

Thanks for your help, I’ve been playing around with the plugin but haven’t had any luck yet.

Do you mean you can’t get this working? Did you try a custom taxonomy?

Hey Trevor thanks for writing back! Yes that’s right, I’m not able to get this working. I haven’t tried a custom taxonomy (I don’t think.., I’m not quite sure what that is). This is basically my process:

I have a custom post type, and each time I make a new post, I upload a new gallery of images. Each post will have a different gallery with unique tags to that post, but also some posts may have the same tags as other posts. I would like the Search Filter form to show on each CPT single page and display results for each individual post only.

For example, say I had a Custom Post Type called Seasonal Photos. Then I would use that CPT to create a post called Summer Photos. The previous post would be Spring Photos. Both posts may have photos with a tag such as “flowers”, but when I was on the Spring Photos page, and I clicked on the tag “flowers” in the Search and Filter form on the Spring Photos page, I would only want to see the photos tagged “flowers” from the Spring Photos post, not the ones from the “Summer Photos” post and so on.

I hope I am being clear, and thanks again for your reply! Please let me know if I can provide any additional info, or clarify anything a bit better.
