I’m having a very similar issue, but I’m using the shortcode instead of the archive page. I also don’t know if its related, but using the “Auto Submit Form” won’t even cause it to reload when I change anything. It will only refresh on submit, but then no url gets appended (despite checking the “Make searches bookmarkable?” box), no content updates, and nothing will load.
I don’t have it filtering on an custom post type, but I do have it filtering on a custom taxonomy.
In my experience, you will be having different issues with symptoms common to the other thread, and thus I would need far more information to be able to diagnose. Screenshots of the first 2 setup tabs would be the first step (General and Display Methods).
