Hi,
I have made a filter on my website. I made the filter with different headings with taxonomy categories. For example:
Heading 1 (checkbox)
A
B
CHeading 2 (checkbox)
A
B
CIf I select Heading 1 – B and after that select Heading 2 – B it is showing all the results for Heading 2 – B and not the results of Heading 1 – B anymore.
I want it to show 0 results. Because there is no post who have both categories.
Hope you can help me. Thanks!

It looks like you are adding two fields to the form that both use category?
The problem you are experiencing is described here (except for you the problem is with categories):
https://support.searchandfilter.com/forums/topic/and-filtering-not-working/#post-9913
You may only use a category field once (the Search Form UI will be updated to better reflect this)…
I recommend to create custom taxonomies for additional fields:

Thanks

Thank you very much for your reply!
I followed up your advice and add the Custom post type ui plugin. So the next step is to create for every filter a different taxonomie. I have done that. But now I want to add te projects (posts) to the custom taxonomies.
I still see the categroies and can check and uncheck them. But for the projects (posts) I see for evey taxonomie a textfield, no checkbox like categories.
Doe you know how I can check the taxonomies?
Thanks

This is now not really a S&F question but a question about taxonomies in general or in fact that plugin.
However, I think its because you have not setup your taxonomy as hierarchical – if they are hierarchical they behave like categories (with checkboxes) and if they are not hierarchical they behave like tags (input box with a kind of autocomplete)…
Hope that helps
