I’ve looked through the forums and can’t see that this has been asked before – though perhaps that’s because it’s obvious!

What I want to achieve is the following:
    1. Search form on the homepage with no text field and two taxonomy drop-downs
    2. On the results page, an option to filter those results – and to edit the initial search.

For example: first search on the homepage is for a hotel (two categories: London, budget). On the results page, user can add additional filters (example: gym) or change the original search (example: from ‘budget’ to ‘luxury’.)

Is this possible with Search & Filter Pro?

    Yes. You have two choices.

The simple choice is to make the form on the Home Page a ‘Custom’ Display Results method and use the Results URL to direct it to that page. On that form Ajax would be OFF.

Then, on the results page, you have the full form and whatever Display Results method you need.

The other choice is to have the same form on both pages, but use CSS to hide the unwanted fields on the Home Page. You can do this because your home page will have the home class on the body tag.

The appearance of the results is determined by the Display Results Method that you are using, so which one are you using?
