Hi,
I’ve tested the Free version for couple of days, and it was working wonderfully, giving results on same page of search without any issues.
Today I purchased the paid plugin, and I’m very unpleasant with it.
First of all, there is no option to design it, secondly, the Custom Fields I made with ACF, doesn’t return any results inside of the filter itself, meaning my select boxes are empty.
Secondly, The filters of the taxonomies are not working at all.
Example URL: https://nadlanco.co.il/property_city/%D7%90%D7%AA%D7%95%D7%A0%D7%94/
When filtering all the fields together, the behavior is very stupid. First of all, it just redirects me to the first Taxamony field, and not applying the other filters.
Furthermore, when The Price Filter (Which is ACF) is used alone, it’s redirecting to one random CPT post instead of displaying all of the results.
Please let me know what additional information you would like, and I hope this can be resolved easy and quickly.
Thanks in advance,
Anonymous(Private) January 11, 2021 at 2:48 pm #272354Hey again,
I read the documentation further, and I see I have the additional shortcode of results that I need to use on the results page.
I’m using elementor and elementor PRO, so my search results and Taxamonies are template-based. How can I configure the Archive results / Archive element of element to display the filter results on those pages?
The free version of the plugin did it automatically for me, if you wish, I can restore the demo plugin and show that it is working properly, with the same setup as I have now (just without the META of the price since meta is not available on the demo version)
Anonymous(Private) January 11, 2021 at 3:03 pm #272359Hi again,
Since i’m a bit of a troublesome guy, I did some further check and comparison with the Demo and Paid version.
I noticed that on the demo version, the search goes as the following:
But on the paid version it gives this URL on the search
The question is why the plugin is adding the _sft_ before the taxonomies terms, and can I remove it?
P.S – right now I’ve enabled the Demo version as this site has live traffic and I can’t allow a not working plugin to run there right now..
Thanks again in advance,
DenisTrevor(Private) January 11, 2021 at 5:47 pm #272414Hi Denis
The Pro plugin is far more sophisticated and needs the search strings for now.
If you are using Elementor Pro, did you use our extension for Elementor Pro, which can be installed after clicking the big blue button (you need to be logged in to see it) at the top of the guide page (to download the installation file):
https://searchandfilter.com/documentation/3rd-party/elementor/
The guide covers many different use cases, so please read it carefully.
Note that, with fields made by ACF, when selecting the meta key, note a ‘gotcha’ with ACF ….
… it makes 3 meta keys per field, like this (in this example for a field named ‘land’):
#1
_land
#2field_52f0fc4334f52
#3land
In our Meta Key selection list, you need to use key #3, without the underscore at the start of the key name. If you choose #1 by mistake, in the field choices you will see the name of #2.
The fields will only show in the list if you have actually entered data in those fields inside posts and saved them. To define them alone without doing that, they will not show up, as our plugin does not look at the Field Group definitions, but at the actual data stored in the Post Meta table.
Anonymous(Private) January 11, 2021 at 9:01 pm #272437Hey Trevor,
I’ve followed all the instructions as above but there are few odd things.
I installed the Elementor Plugin, but it made the ACF marking to disappear from the Post Meta, I no longer have that tick. Later on, I enabled the extension, and the result remains the same.
1. Redirects me to another page and not applying the filter on the Archive page. – doesn’t run the filter on the archive page, but redirect me to another page, and when I type in a custom URL, It doesn’t work. – in the guide, it states, Instal the extension, change the setting and it should work (Since I want this on archive pages), and the result is different from what stated there before it was trying to filter on the archive page, now it redirects me to the main page with broken jquery HTML drawing attempts.
2. The filters are still not active and are displaying to me all of the posts.
3. I’ve used the correct ACF field for the meta, but the results are the same, have you read all of the above I mentioned and my comparison to the DEMO version and the paid one I’m using now? The Demo worked Perfectly, and all the Taxamonies were responding. the PRO version is responding to only the FIRST taxonomy and ignores the rest. P.S, I used the Demo plugin without the WP Elementor Extention.Furthermore, as I advised previously, right now I’m having the Demo version running as it’s working better than the PRO at the moment. if you can/have chance to test it, we can go live and I will be happily to apply all the changes you might suggest and show the WP backed and Front-End set up.
Anonymous(Private) January 13, 2021 at 12:26 pm #272659The thread can be closed, Issue was resolved by adjusting the correct display settings.
BIG THANKs to Trevor, We got on a call, while the whole site was in a foreign language, Trevor listened to my story and my set up with Elementor and Archives, asked a few questions while analyzing the whole thing on the go, and in less than a few minutes he guided me thought the settings and everything was resolved!
I’m very grateful for the quick response and the patience, Thank you very much again!
The plugin works perfectly now and I also removed the demo version.
Have a great day!
