Great to speak with you Mike. Hopefully that has you up and running by making extra taxonomies using CPT UI.

    Is this closed now?

Thanks again. One more question for you. Is there a way to display one of my custom taxonomies in my grid? For example if an item is a Brochure, it displays “Brochure”.

I am not sure. If VC does not have an element for it in the grid designer, then probably no. I say probably. Does the grid designer allow shortcodes? It might be possible to sneak some PHP into it using a PHP snippet shortcode plugin.

Yeah, the only option that is close is Post Categories, but it only pulls in Blog Categories. Unless I can somehow categorize these portfolios into blog categories as well. It does allow shortcodes, there’s a general VC text block option.

OK. I will experiment and get back to you.

Hi Trevor, I think I found a hack solution to this. All I need is to show what type of content the resource is(like a Brochure, Case Study, etc..) I created duplicate categories in the native WP categories. Then used the plugin “Add Tags And Category To Page and Post Types” and categorized accordingly. Since the grid pulls from the native taxonomies it’s now displaying those.

Cool. I was going to say that you could always use an ACF field, as VC supports them. Is this thread done?
