Hey Ross,
In the website go to Real Estate–> I want to Buy, and try to filter whatever.
Before the update I could get the filter working, but now whatever the filter I apply, the search results are totally incoherent, and for what it seems, they are the same results, no matter the filter, and they don’t even belong to the same category!
As an example if you filter to get only “Chalets and Bungalows” (3 posts) you get about 15 posts of different taxonomies and categories. It is a real mess. Before the update it worked fine!

You’re right this is very strange!! I don’t know what is going on I did a lot of testing for this release…
Do you have FTP details so I can do some debugging?
Thanks
Ross Moderator(Private) November 11, 2014 at 6:12 am #7393Hey Eduardo
I’ve spent a while looking through this now..
I even setup Avada locally with WPML and Search & Filter – and the results are as expected – everything seems to work fine – spanish search shows spanish results, english search shows english results, and you must make a duplicate of all the posts in both languages so they can be searched properly.
It looks like you did all this.
I didn’t change any underlying code on how the plugin handles languages in the latest update, as in the queries should have been unaffected so I’m thinking the problem was not the plugin upgrade but something else.
Which version of the plugin did you say was working before? The previous one (1.2.7)?
I will test the previous version on my local machine too and email you that to test again – somehow I think reverting the plugin to a previous version won’t fix things.
If this is the case, then there is something else in your setup that is interfering with the query.
Let me know anyway which version you think will work and we can both try that.
Thanks

This morning version 1.3.0 is working in spanish! I don’t understand anyhing! I didn’t do anything! It works even the auto submit form, that never worked for me before! But the english version is still a mess. Did you do something in the php custom template?
This is truly weird. I don’t get it. This is far beyond my understanding.
Please take a look when you can.
Thanks a lot.
EduardoRoss Moderator(Private) November 11, 2014 at 9:26 am #7407Hey Eduardo – I didn’t do anything to it haha! But I already realised Spanish was working yesterday – 1.3 was supposed to fix auto submit…
Anyway have a play around and see if you can get it working, and check my previous message and let me know what you want to do about that…
Thanks
Anonymous(Private) November 11, 2014 at 9:59 am #7410Hey Ross,
I have been trying some things but I don’t get it to work. If I apply a php custom template (copied from archive.php or something like that) I get the message “sorry, no posts match your criteria” and if I don’t apply any custom template the filter makes a mess. I don’t know what else to do, I have no idea of php, so I don’t know if this can be related to the custom template.
So if you have run out of ideas too, please I would like to go back to the 1.2.7 version, because I really need this working in both lenguages, but I am afraid that this issue seems to behave randomly so I am not sure if this is going to fix anything.
Thanks
Ross Moderator(Private) November 11, 2014 at 10:08 pm #7446Hey Eduardo
I’ve just emailed you that version.
I don’t think it will work though – like I said the multi language queries havent changed.
As mentioned, I also setup Avada theme, with WPML locally and it worked as expected.
This leads me to believe that there is either a conflict in your setup or some custom code that is interferring with normal operations.
I’m closing this for now, but if you wish to try to resolve the issue, I recommend using the latest version, and disabling all other plugins – then testing – and you can get back to me with your results.
I will not be able to keep on supporting previous versions are there may be other bugs in it.
Thanks
Anonymous(Private) November 14, 2014 at 11:07 am #7645Hey Ross, I am going crazy with this. I have tried everything that I can think of and it still not working.
I have noticed that if I deactivate the custom php template in the spanish version I get the same messy behaviour of the filters, so the key might be in the use of the templates. For the english version I am using the same template or the same content with different file name that in the spanish one but I get the error only in the english version.
Then, I also have realized that the slug or url of the search results is something like: http://cinfuerte.com/en/searchresults
However, I cannot set this url with the /en/ in between, in the S&F settings, so I just thought that maybe that’s the mistake, that is trying to display the search in the wrong place (that would be http://cinfuerte.com/searchresults)
Does this make any sense to you? If that is the case, would it be possible to change in the S&F settings the possibility of introducing this kind of complete urls, with /en/ or /de/ in between, for the different lenguages?
Is there anybody else doing a multilenguage site with S&F and WPML with this kind of issues?
Thanks.
