Hi,
Newbe here…
I have a woocommece site in development.
I want to have a filter box on the front page with 3 filter options:
1. a drop down listing all products published on site – after choosing one, will be taken directly to the product page.
2 + 3. filter by ACF fields (checkboxes) – choosing will take to a custom page with the results.
Thanks!
Option 1 is not so much a filter as a menu, and whilst you could place that menu next to, and style it the same as, the search form, it would (and probably should) not be part of the search form.
2 and 3 are Post Meta fields, and should work normally. Be aware that ACF has 3 meta keys per field. One starts with an underscore, one starts ‘fieldxxxxxxxxxx’ and the other is the slug of the field without an underscore. It is this last one that you should use.
