Forums › Forums › Search & Filter Pro › Exclude categories doesn't work fine with 'author field' count
Hey Jose
Unfortunately Auto Count has not yet been integrated with the Author field – if you see the note next to Auto Count, it says it is used for “taxonomy and post meta (choice) fields”
I plan on extending this to all field types but right now do not have a timeline on this.
Thanks
Hi Jose
The whole showing/hiding of fields is based on this autocount value being a 0
or not.
Therefor this is the experience you get.
Auto count was only released in 2.0, and since then I’ve been planning on rolling it out to a few other field types (you’ll notice the Post Types field also has the same issue).
I’m afraid thats just the way it works currently.
You could try placing this field higher in your form so author selection is made before the other fields, decreasing likelihood of getting no results.
Thats your best bet for now.
Thanks
