Are the posts translated using Polylang, also our forms need translating, and also any terms (taxonomies and custom fields). You need to use the translation tools in Polylang to translate them, and not translate manually.
OR, are their different posts in English to those in French (i.e. not linked by Polylang)?
Anonymous(Private) March 4, 2020 at 4:48 pm #235558The posts are not translated because they should only be appearing in English and the events are not available in French.
The form is translated (set to French) as well as all the taxonomies.
I would say yes, since there are English posts not linked to any French ones and those are the ones that are showing up on the French side.
Anonymous(Private) March 4, 2020 at 5:06 pm #235563The post is listed as English with the check and has a plus for French to indicate there is no translation and one can be added. All of its taxonomies, custom fields, title/slug and other translatable content attached to the post is set in English and shows up in English when viewing on the French side and within the post editor.
Trevor(Private) March 6, 2020 at 1:32 pm #235740So, looking at these posts, I am thinking that maybe the forms should NOT be translated. Translating them links them.
One thing puzzles me though. In the search form you have Event Language as a choice.
Does this mean that you want to show all language posts on both English and French pages, and allow the user to choose the language?
So, on both of the English and French language search pages, all posts should show?
