Enable Auto Count is slowing down search form

We want to use the ‘Hide empty’ functions. To use this option we need to enable ‘Enable Auto Count’.
But when this option is enabled it will take 15-35 seconds to load the search results on the filter page.

If I disable the option it loads normal.

Any known reason why Enable Auto Count is slowing down the searh form?

Because the form has to run back through the cache to recalculate the counts. If you have a lot of posts, this may take some time.
