    I have setup a simple filter to be added to my sidebar in woocommerce for filtering on brand which I have as meta data and for product category. Both work well on subcategory pages.

    However when searching I get way more results in the side bar than actual search results. There are numbers next to almost every category adding to hundreds for both brand and category. Yes my search results might only be showing 10 products.

    How to I set these filters to work on my search results only? I am not technical at all so simple idiots guide would be great please. Thanks

    Do you have, on the General settings tab, Auto Count (both settings) ON? I think you may need to have these set.
