Tagged: custom fields, dropdown search
Hello,
We just purchased “Search & Filter Pro” and I’m having some issues.
I have created over 1100 posts – each post has a different author’s name.
Each post has a custom field titled “Author search” – the value is the authors name.
I have created a dropdown search which shows all the author’s names. I would like to pick an authors name and go to their bio page – I get the same results when I use a “submit button” or use “auto submit form – It always goes to “all items” and then shows all 1100 posts.
Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?
Thanks
I just did a search and I think I can see the issue. This is the URL it used:

The Custom Field Title you have used cannot have a space in it. If this is a custom field, how did you make the custom field, or was it made for you by a plugin? I ask, because the 2 big plugins most people use (ACF/ACF Pro and Types) both will not allow spaces in the slug names, where they replace the space with an underscore. Having commas in the author names might also give issues, as commas are also used as delimiters in lists of values.
