I am using Divi and the pro plugin is working fine but I want to see if I can change the style of the layout a bit. Can a more stylized blog layout be done using Divi and Search and Fileter — or do I have to create a new PHP page layout.

OK, so all that was missing was the filter_next_query action shortcode and you are good to go.
