Displaying the Search form as inline

Hi. I am not using the search form in a sidebar, as it won’t be right on mobile (being stacked under the content). As I’m using the search form within the page content, I need the fields to display as inline rather than block. I tried targeting the .searchandfilter ul and ul li, but this did nothing.

Can you point me in the right direction. Even if I can wrap them each ina div and set widths, that would be helpful. I don’t know what to target.
