Forums › Forums › Search & Filter Pro › Display search results with specific tag without altering the url
I believe I’m a bit in over my head with what I try to do, I’m going through the documentation but I simply can’t figure out which way to go…
I have a standard search page which works with the shortcode (example.com/search/), and want to offer a few “browse” pages where visitors get an overview of pages that have a specific tag (example.com/browse-tag1/).
If I load the search form with the shortcode it will display all pages that are on the website, because the ?_sft_post_tag=tag1 part is missing from the url. Of course I can link directly to example.com/browse-tag1/?_sft_post_tag=tag1 but this causes issues since I would very much like to refer visitors to the much cleaner url example.com/browse-tag1/.
I’ve tried rewriting the url with .htaccess but that just puts me in endless loops.
Is there a way to alter the shortcode in a way like this: [searchandfilter id=”392″ show=”results” tag=”tag1″], or should I do something completely different?
Thanks in advance for any help, still learning the ropes here ๐
Hi Yoran
Why not head to the “tags, categories & taxonomies” tab of your search form, and include only that tag? ๐
Thanks
