Hi,
I have the following problem with S/F Pro in Genesis:
Using the native WordPress search widget, a search takes me to a search results page where the body classes are “search search-results …” and my breadcrumbs are “Home > Search for theSearchTerm”, where “Home” is a hyperlink to the home page.
However, using the S/F Pro widget, with the search form configured to display results as an archive, I get a page where the body classes are “home blog …” and my breadcrumbs show that I am on the home page (i.e., the breadcrumbs are simply “Home” with no hyperlink).
Forcing “is_search” in the Advanced tab has no effect. Nor does enabling or disabling the “use custom template” option in the Display Results tab.
The practical problem is that my breadcrumbs aren’t working, and there are also CSS issues with the “home” class in the body.
I have a workaround for all of this which involves a custom template and some filters, but my point is that it shouldn’t be that hard. Why are my search results appearing on a home page rather than on a search or archive page?
