I have a product ranking field (simple 1-99 number) I’ve added and have tried setting acf as both text and number. And text/number in the default settings of search pro, ever which combination – after every change rebuilt cache. Testing with 7 products so its obvious and even changed one to 5000 so its clearly first or last depending on what I choose.
But nothing is being respected.
Trevor(Private) May 4, 2016 at 9:51 am #44676Hi Craig. This is an ACF field and you have placed a Meta field in the form for this? Does the name of the field in the select box show with an underscore before it, or just the name you gave it? It should not have the underscore normally.
I need to get a better handle on what it is you are doing and how the form is setup. Is it possible to get some screenshots of the General And Display Results tabs, and of the setup of the meta field?
Trevor(Private) May 6, 2016 at 11:48 am #44877Hi, Ross just sent me the email you sent to our no-reply address, I think ๐ Our forum does not have a ‘reply by email’ option ๐
The acf field is shown in the screenshots as
_vdata_rankIf you scroll down in that select box, does
vdata_rank(no preceding underscore) also appear?Anonymous(Private) May 6, 2016 at 4:36 pm #44930Awesome support! I didn’t even see the no_reply address.
But thank you! That was it, working perfectly now. Might be more overhead than its worth but could there be a setting to hide/show values with a leading _ or maybe mark them as red or gray, or even sort them to the bottom?
Fully aware if I would have been paying attention this wouldn’t have been an issue, but stupid proofing ๐ would be cool.
