Date Range Empties on Submit

The date range gets emptied on any type of submit. This becomes an issue when I have “Update the Search Form on user interaction” checked. I want the drop downs in my search to update on interaction and the date range to stay. Here is how I have my settings: General Settings, Display Results, I also have Relevanssi enabled and sorting by relevance if that would affect anything.

Right now if I select the date range it immediately disappears as soon as the form “updates on interaction” but if I turn off the “update on interaction” and use a submit button, the date range disappears on submit but every other setting on the form stays.

This seems like a plugin bug so I am hoping I can get some help how to fix it, or hopfully its a simple as 1 too many settings.
