Hi,
I have a site set up using lots of children of a custom taxonomy.

i’d like to set up the plugin so that a visitor can select from multiple dropdowns, each of which only show the sub taxonomies of one set of these taxonomies.
The dropdowns, I would like to filter the selections via AJAX – as on your demo site.

For example – the site has wines so it should be like this:

Dropdown 1 – Colour
– Red
– White
– Rose
Dropdown 2 – Country
– Argentina
– Chile
– France

Any help much appreciated.

Hey Dan

You cant use a specific taxonomy/category/tag multiple times. For each (colour, country) they must be separate taxonomies.

Not only does the plugin not support this, but semantically its bad to put 2 different kinds of things, in one taxonomy.

Yep, good shout.

I ended up transferring all of the categories into individual taxonomies.
It took a little while and a fair bit of hacking in the WP database but it works well.

I’m going to get cracking on the plugin now.
