If I set the results per page value to 7, the first page is empty, the second page just shows 1 item and the 3rd page the rest.

Something very odd going on with the theme. Probably a pre_get_posts somewhere.

What happens if you make a search/results page and use the shortcode method (apart from the results not looking so good for style)?

The home page is an archive page set with a wp_redirect(). I used to do it with pre_get_posts() but changed that later on due some other bugs that occured. The filter plugin is already called with a shortcode on this page.

I also use a pre_get_posts() filter on my search box to limit the results to only concerts & blog articles. Currently it’s disabled for testing purposes with no result.

I tried to integrate the shortcode on my search page, but this gives me a loop

Hi Trevor,

I also noticed if I disable the custom function to manually order the list the event page for “Oorstof” doesn’t order properly to ASC but the Homepage does.
