The form elements have very little styling attached to them, as they pick up what the theme applies. as the development of S&F Pro evolves, we will most likely add more features for you to be able to add theme styling elements, but for now you must style it using Custom CSS.

For now, should you need guidance, the easiest thing to do is to get the form and results working as you want, and then show the search form, and by way of comparison what you would like it to look like (by using live pages, not screenshots) and then we can help more you towards your goal.

The key to being able to style and customize the look and feel of a WordPress website is the choice of theme and/or theme framework, theme builder or content builder.

Sadly, ‘off-the-shelf’ themes are often lacking in this respect, and some frameworks/builders turn out to be less flexible than is suggested by their publicity. Not that Avada is such, as I recognize it to be VERY popular and much used.

I am always happy to talk to newcomers on Skype (voice or video) and my sagely advice can often save hours, days, weeks or even months of heartache and wasted effort.

Really appreciate your response Trevor. Right now i’m working on the site using localhost. When i have the functionality and content roughly done and need help with the finishing touches i’ll be sure to contact you. Once again, really appreciate your customer service and quick response, cheers.

Nice to speak with you. Fr now you are going to create a custom post type and try and set this up using CPT UI and then have the search using the Post Archive Type display results.

Let me know how you get on.

    Hi Trevor

I created a custom post type called schools using CPT UI and created a corresponding page called schools. The custom post then filled this page like my blog page was filled with posts, and like the blog page i don’t have any influence over what else appears in the page i.e. I can’t put the search and filter widget in the page.

I also tried following the Post Type Archive setup instructions with the side points for Avada, but unfortunately not getting very far with that as well. I see what you mean by being able to see the summit but not being able to quite get their with ease, lol.
