Hi,
I have setup categories with hierarchy. This shows nice in the frontend searchform.
The count for the level category is done by counting level 1 categories, so i have only selected level 1 categories in my posts (example: level 0 = Sportscar / level 1 = Ferrari, Porsche, Maserati), because wordpress knows when i go to /category/sportscar/ it has to show the level 1 posts even if i haven’t selected level 0 (sportscar).
I your searchform this doesn’t seem to be the case, because when i select the level 0 category it returns zero results although the count behind shows for example Sportscar (10.
Thanks
Marcellino
Hey Marcellino
There is now an option in the field called “include children” – I believe this is what you are describing 🙂
PS – I will get back on to those other issues shortly.
Thanks
