    Hi there,

I just installed and set up a search form. After that I installed my Search & filter elementor extension. When I go to my posts page on Elementor and try to add the Query Source as “Search & Filter Query” it won’t appear there. It doesn’t appear either on the “Display results method” options on the actual Search & Filter form.

Is it possible that is because I installed the elementor extension after creating the form ?

Is it possible to enable that or should I create a new form ?

The speed will be related to the complexity of the search (number of posts, number of form fields, number of terms in each field, whether you are using Auto Count or not) and the server.

Traditional hosting servers are frequently not configured to handle the data requests between the CPU, various caches and the disk drive. This is not a criticism of such hosting, they meet a need for most users. But, when you have large datasets, you may need to consider (potentially) more expensive hosting if you wish/need to avoid the speed/response issues. I am loath to make recommendations, but can, privately, if you wish. There is only one specialist who operate at the very top end of performance though, and, not unexpectedly, they are also not inexpensive. That would be Kinsta.

I assume you are using a WordPress cache plugin. If you are using PHP 7+, then the simplest/fastest I have tested (some are incredibly complex) is a free plugin called Breeze (from Cloudways, available on the wordpress.org repository). A word of warning. NEVER test or develop when using cache/optimization plugins or CDNs. Doing so may lead to hours of frustration.
