    Hello,

I am having an issue with Search & Filter Pro. My WooCommerce shop has not been able to successfully completed a build/re-build of the cache for the WooCommerce search and filter form. I was hoping you could take a look and let me know. I can provide credentials to login and take a look.

I have already tried changing the cache speed to slow and changed the cache builder to not work in the background. Both those do not seem to work.

When I visit the Search & Filter form edit page, I see the following:

    Error: Unable to cache posts.

Something prevented the caching process from running, you can try again by selecting Rebuild Cache.
    More info

Clicking on “More Info” only opens the same page in a new window.

    Thanks for your help!

Can you read through this post and try the suggestions in that post (just that post, not the thread):

Trevor. I gave that a shot and I think maybe it cached a few more posts than before, but it still failed. Any other suggestions? Feel free to log in and take a look.

It looks to be timing out. There are only 1249 products, but it is taking ages per product. How many potential combinations of variations are there per product, as that may be the issue?

It depends on the product. I haven’t gone through them all. They were imported from Etsy.

You think the issue is variations? Any recommendations?

You should be able to restrict the search somewhat by testing with just one or two variations, using INCLUDES for just a few variations on the Tags, Categories and Taxonomies settings tab. Start with two, then test. Add two more ….

If it suddenly stops, then maybe it is one of the last two, or just too many, so pick two others, if they work, then try one of the two it got stuck on, and so on.

Trevor, thanks! The “Size” attribute has 128 options (many of which are just variations of the same size coupled with different colors: 3X Red, 3X, Black, etc.). I am going to work with the shop owner to reduce the amount of sizes and decouple the size and colors (there is already a “Color” attribute). Thanks for helping me track this down. I will let you know if I run into anything else!
