Is there any way to format the drop down to look like this?

we have a horizontal search and im using the multi select but the size of multiple selects is looking kind of weird

I’m afraid not within the plugin – the combobox functionality comes from a jQuery plugin called Chosen.

I think the best thing you could do is load the regular multiselect, and then apply another external script to the multiselect box which does what you need.
