    How so? What could be the possible causes so I can investigate and hopefully fix?!

    Generally, it means that something about your server setup prevents this (it can be many things), which will be down to your host, who appears to be 1and1. Sadly, whilst they are a big company, they do not average very good reviews. Here is a good analysis:

    Other hosts to avoid (IMHO) are GoDaddy and EIG (who now own BlueHost and Hostgator, amongst MANY other brands).

    But, and I am going to give 1and1 this, they are cheap and their support is OK.
